Accessibility Statement
Accessibility commitment and feedback channels for Hole In 1 Nation marketing, golfer, and admin web applications.
Last updated:
1. Our commitment
Hole In 1 Nation aims to make its web experiences usable by golfers, course staff, and operations users with diverse abilities. We design toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria where practical across marketing, golfer, and admin surfaces.
This statement covers the public marketing site, the golfer play application, and the staff/admin portal. It is a living document and will be updated as we remediate issues.
2. Measures we take
Current measures include:
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and skip links to main content
- Keyboard-operable navigation, drawers, and primary forms
- Visible focus styles and sufficient contrast on primary actions
- Status messages for payment, loading, and verification states with polite live regions where implemented
- Respect for prefers-reduced-motion on decorative animation and Three.js hero scenes
- Text alternatives for brand marks; ongoing work for partner photography and clip captions
3. Known limitations
Some areas are still improving:
- Contest clip playback may rely on third-party media controls with uneven caption support until signed media pipelines mature
- Dense admin tables can require horizontal scrolling on small screens
- Partner-supplied course images may temporarily lack descriptive alternative text
- Map experiences, when enabled, will need separate accessibility evaluation
4. Compatibility
We test with current releases of major browsers on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Assistive technology combinations vary; please tell us what you use when reporting a barrier.
5. Feedback and assistance
If you encounter a barrier, email accessibility@holein1nation.com with the page URL, a description of the problem, and your browser or assistive technology if known. We aim to respond within five business days.
For urgent on-course entry issues unrelated to accessibility, contact support@holein1nation.com.
6. Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have rights to escalate under applicable human rights or accessibility laws in your province or state. We will cooperate with good-faith investigations.
